FORT PIERRE — Behind four individual champions the Winner Area Warriors won Saturday’s Big Dakota Conference wrestling tournament.

The Warriors scored 232 points, ahead of Chamberlain 203.5 and Miller/Highmore-Harrold 183.5. Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes (167.5) and StanleyCounty (135) rounded out the top-five.

Rylan Robbins (106), Karson Keiser (132), Riley Orel (160) and Jack Kruger each won titles for the Warriors.

Chamberlain’s three champions were Chisum Blam (138B), Noah Hutmacher (220) and Canyon Burkhard (285).

Parkston edges Redfield to take Redfield Invite title

REDFIELD — Parkston had three individual champions and claimed the team title of Saturday’s Redfield Invitational.

The Trojans amassed 164 points, ahead of Redfield (139.5) and Wessington Spring/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessinton (155). Madison and Wagner tied for fourth place with 111 points.

Kaden Holzbauer (126) and Porter Neugebauer (160) won championships for the Trojans.

Redfield nabbed four individual titles with Brady Risetter (106), Mason Whitley (160), Seth Siebrecht (195) and Grady Fey (285) all winning their respective weight classes.

Wagner’s three champions were Karstyn Lhotak (120), Jhett Breen (138) and Tim Bouza (220. Wessington Springs/Woosocket/Wolsey-Wessington’s Jackson Carter (113), Joey Hoverson (145) and Keegain Haider (182) each won championships.

The other two champions came from Burke/Gregory as Owen Hansen (132) and Gunnar Stephens (170) were victorious.

Custer edges Rapid City Central for Black Hills Classic Tournament title

HILL CITY — A tight team battle all day Saturday between Custer and Rapid City Central at the Black Hills Classic Tournament in Hill City.

Custer had four individual champions to Central’s lone champion as the Wildcats notched 230.5 points, ahead of Central’s 217 and Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall Badlands Brawlers 171.5. Gordon-Rushville, NE (159) and the Sturgis JV rounded out the top-five.

Jace Blasius (138), Gage Ravellette (145), Thane Simons (160) and Burk Blasius (170) were all crowned champions for the Brawlers on Saturday.

Other South Dakota champions were Lemmon/McIntosh’s Gage Anderson (120), Rapid City Central’s Logan Brown (126), Belle Fouche’s Thomas McCoy (152) and Hot Springs’ Caleb Rickenbach (195).

Parker wins Big East/LCC wrestling title on Saturday

De Smet — The Parker wrestling team won four individual titles and the team title at Saturday’s Big East/LCC tournament in De Smet.

The Pheasants accumulated 182 points, ahead of McCook Central/Montrose (145) and Elk Point-Jefferson (154). Kingsbury County (101) and Howard 94) rounded out the top-five.

Alex Kuchta (113), Michael Even (138), Charlie Patten (195) and Levi Wieman (220) won titles for the Pheasants.

Other individual championships went to Howard’s Conner Giedd, Kingsbury County’s Gannon Gilliagan, Howard’s Tate Miller (132), Mount Vernon Plankinton’s Drew Gerlach (145), McCook Central/Montrose’s Jackson Remmers (152). Elk Point-Jefferson had a pair of champions in Ben Swatek (160) and Gavin Jacobs (170). Deuel’s Dominic Constant won at (182) while Alex Jensen of Beresford/Alcester-Hudson won at (285).

Pierre edges Watertown for team title at Yankton Invitonal

YANKTON — Behind three individual champions the Pierre Governors were able to capture the team title at Saturday’s Yankton Invitational.

Pierre racked up 250.5 points ahead of Watertown (235) and West Central (211.5). Rapid City Stevens (158.5) and Tea Area (118.5) rounded out the top-five.
