My vote goes 106 - Region 1A with #6-Vessels(West Central), #7-Woodring(Tea), #8-Wells(SFJ), HM-Hemboldt(Brookings), and (has been as high as 6/7 in rankings during season-I believe)Wilde(SFR).

Quote from Viper on February 16, 2022, 2:41 pmI'd say any region tourney with 4 kids in the top 8 at state would be tough as nails.
Here are the one's I came up with (and for what its worth 145b region 3 has 4 in the top 5 so there's no contest there)
132A region 3 - 4 in the top 7
195A region 2 - 4 in the top 7
120A region 4 - 4 in the top 8
152A region 1 - 4 in the top 8
106A region 1 - 4 in the top 9
170A region 2 -4 in the top 9
285A region 2 -4 in the top 9
B's
145b region 3 - 4 in the top 5
120b region 3 -4 in the top 7
106B region 3 - 4 in the top 8
152b region 3 - 4 in the top 8
195b region 3 - 4 in the top 8
285b region 3 - 4 in the top 8
113b region 3 - 4 in the top 9
126b region 3 -4 in the top 9
132b region 3 - 4 in the top 9
170b region 3 - 4 in the top 9
182b region 3 - 4 in the top 9
Region 3B appears to be the toughest to get out of and get your ticket punched to state. Good luck to all our wrestlers this weekend!

Quote from emmitt21 on February 16, 2022, 6:43 pm145B is a very tough weight according to the rankings, but in my opinion the winner of that weight is almost a 99% certainty. I chose 126B because I believe each of those top 3 guys could win the bracket and perhaps state next weekend. I don't see anyone but Keiser is winning 145.

Quote from Sprawler on February 17, 2022, 9:08 pmSorry but I am a little baffled here - most difficult weight classes to 'punch your ticket to state'? The rating boards' only list a maximum of four from each region. Many good ones are left off because of that.
If a wrestler is rated 8th or 9th or HM or whatever and they are healthy, they should place in the top four and make it to State. At which time they will be (thankfully) seeded. But there are other good ones in the region that are not ranked.
So, my question is, which regions and weight classes have five or six good wrestlers who can maybe throw in an upset against ranked kids?
