Quote from Nacho on February 17, 2022, 12:07 pmThanks coach! Wow what a draw for Winner. Do you know how Philip Area was able to get in and Custer was the team bumped out? I'm assuming due to Philip Area's win over Redfield and Custer's loss to them, but just curious how that all went down.

Quote from UpNOut on February 17, 2022, 12:09 pmVery unfortunate that Custer did not make the "B" dual tournament. Definitely a dual team contender; top 5. Sorry Coach Webster!

Quote from lace em up on February 17, 2022, 12:33 pmI agree with Nacho - Winner got a fortunate draw. But they still have to come out and finish the deal, like all of them. #1,2,4 appear to be a little stronger than the rest, but the others down to #13 all look competitive. Can't have them all in though. Very good parity this year and difficult for the powers that be to fill the bracket. Health throughout the year plays a part in these head-to-head matchups, I'm sure. Should be exciting!

Quote from Viper on February 17, 2022, 12:50 pmFor B's - I'm happy to see Philip in, and surprised to see Custer out. I wonder if KC will be able to get in the top 5 despite getting a #3 ranking, Time will tell. Maybe we can use this year as a cautionary tale to improve the way we seed teams going forward.
For A's the top 8 don't surprise me but I feel like Tea and Sturgis were swapped. Either way should be a good competition, looking forward to watching it

Quote from Nacho on February 17, 2022, 1:13 pmWhen Canton/Redfield and Philip Area/KWLPG met up earlier this year both Philip Area and Redfield lost handily but both had guys out that had a large impact. They will definitely give Canton and KWLPG a dual in the first round. Going to be fun to watch.
My guess is that Parkston will beat KC in the first round. If KC can beat BH/S/A they likely won't beat whoever makes the 5th place match from the top side.

Quote from Stockton on February 17, 2022, 2:01 pm1 KWLPG beat 2 Winner, 4 Canton, 5 Redfield, 6 Parkston, 8 Philip
3 King Co gets in on PPT's, has no H2H or commons
4 Canton beat Redfield H2H
5 Redfield beat Parkston H2H, lost to Philip H2H
6 Parkston beat BHSA H2H
7 BHSA beat Parker H2H
8 Philip beat Redfield H2H but lost to Parker whom Parkston and BHSA beat
KWLPG is loaded as is Philip, Canton and Winner. I think they drew the short straw in this bracket. That is an awful tough matchup to start the duals. Teams have injuries and illness and you make do with what you have. MCM also went out to the duals in Philip short handed. The KWLPG v Philip dual will be something to see to start things off. I'm sure I will get caught paying a little more attention to that dual than I should be.
Good luck to most everyone and see you in a week.

I agree. Also, whomever is at full strength, and who has a good bench in case they're not at full strength will make a huge impact here. It'll be interesting to see

Nice analysis Stockton. Sad to see MCM not in it, but those are the breaks sometimes. A few of these should be edge-of-your-seat type duals

Quote from reshot on February 17, 2022, 7:42 pmAlso thought Sturgis would get the 5 seed with the head to head win over Harrisburg. A Sturgis vs Pierre match up would likely have been the most competitive 1st rd match up in A's.

Quote from Samdog77 on February 18, 2022, 8:44 pmGoing to be very interesting...and yes some more thought needs to be put into the Power Point System. MCM and Custer both would have provided good competition when healthy and will be missed.

Quote from Rus Kantager on February 19, 2022, 9:53 amTeam dual championship is a great addition to SD wrestling. Glad they moved it to after the individual tourney. Good luck/health to all teams.
