With Regional and State AAU quickly approaching, we thought it would benefit many to know how, and where to obtain your Copper and Bronze level coaching certifications. As an FYI...it is required at the state aau tournament that you have the minimum Bronze level certification to obtain a coaches pass for the Cadet and Junior level Freestyle portions. This is USA Wrestling policy. In obtaining the Copper or Bronze level you will also be required to submit, and pass a background check, SafeSport training, and the wrestling leaders certification. This also applies to the HS girls Freestyle division as well. The Copper and Bronze are a one time thing, and once you pass you will not have to take again.
We would highly recommend you get this coaching level of certification for the Regional tournaments as well, especially if you are going to need them for the state tournament anyways. Please just remember this is a REQUIREMENT per USA Wrestling policy. It is not something anyone is trying to do to make an extra $.
