It's always been in February. Love the fact that it's the day after HS regions for those 7th and 8th grade varsity kids that don't make it to State. Gives them a chance to compete at MS State.

The reason it moved was for a couple reasons. High School State Duals were moved to that weekend (Saturday) and that took a lot of officials, coaches, families, and volunteers. This was also the year that Pierre would be hosting the State Gymnastics Meet on Feb 9-10. Region 3A HS Boys Wrestling is Saturday the 17th in Pierre, so the 18th works for 2024.

Now that the dates are out for Middle School State...can a wrestler in Middle School who wrestles for their High School wrestling program at Regions sign up to wrestle at the Middle School state incase they do not qualify for High School State.
