Mine is: "Seek and you shall find. Ask and you shall receive. Knock and the door shall be opened for you."

This helps me to be more confident that I know the Lord is with me in my matches just by asking him to be with me.

When ever I find myself asking, "God, why?" I take a deep breath, clear my thoughts and say...

Proverbs 3:5-6

 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
       and lean not on your own understanding;

 6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
       and he will make your paths straight.

First of all, I love this message board.

Proverbs 21:31

Prepare for the battle, but the victory is the Lord's.

St. Thomas More had this on their team t-shirts a while back.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”

Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength."

Gen 32:22ff Jacob has his name changed to "Israel" which mens "to wrestle with God"

I Sam 17:40 I like how David picked up "five smooth stones" before he went to battle the giant Goliath. Shows Daved trusted in God but also prepared accordingly.

Col 3:17: "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Those are a couple.

Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced for our trangressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.
"You have enemies? Good - that means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." Winston Churchill

The ever famous Psalm 23.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
       he leads me beside quiet waters,

 3 he restores my soul.
       He guides me in paths of righteousness
       for his name's sake.

 4 Even though I walk
       through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
       I will fear no evil,
       for you are with me;
       your rod and your staff,
       they comfort me.

 5 You prepare a table before me
       in the presence of my enemies.
       You anoint my head with oil;
       my cup overflows.

 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
       all the days of my life,
       and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
       forever.

Even broken watches are right twice a day.
