Here are is the currently listing of North Dakota kids tourneys (included are a couple of notable national events in January and April).   I would ask that if you want to add a tourney to this list, that you contact me and I can update the list below so that everyone is not scrolling down through multiple pages of ‘copy and pasted lists’ to find the most current list.   Just PM me and I will get your date and tourney added.  I will update the date in the Subject line of this topic each time a change is made to this list.   If you have a flyer, please feel free to post to this topic or to a separate topic.   Thanks, Dean

The above are all confirmed dates.   (USA) means the tourney is USA Sanctioned- USA is a great organization which provides extra insurance and more wrestling opportunities for your youngsters, please have your coach check them out.


Unknown dates at this time:  Kindred, Watford City, Linton,  Wishek, Fargo Mat Dogs, Linton Duals.   If there are others I missed, it was not intentional.  Please PM me and I will get your tourney added.   

NOTE:  Each club/town is responsible for posting their own flyer to their tourney, I suggest starting a topic announcing your tourney, or, you could add it to this topic.

Valley City Express will host an all trophy 5 Man Round Robin on Saturday, February 27th open for kids from Sub-Bantam through Schoolboy.  Attached is a tournament flier and the tournament is also posted individually on the Kids Wrestling Board.

Can someone have these tournaments put on the calendar on the NCYW.com Web Site? Valley City has theres on there and it is easier to look at week after week and has the details of each tournament.

Bowman, Richardton, and West Fargo were recently added to the list.   

3Bulldogs:  good suggestion, but not all flyers are available for someone to post them to that other website, and...this list of tourneys continues to get updated as new ones are announced.  With this list, you only have to look in one topic to see if something was added versus going to multiple different months on a calendar (on the other website) to see if something gets added..

Both have good qualities.....

If I am looking for a tourney in MN, I go to the Guillotine, if I am looking for a tourney in SD, I go to NCYW.  If I am looking for a tourney in ND, I come to the Grappler.

They all post their flyers as the youth season continues.....I expect to see many flyers in less than 2 weeks when ND State HS tourney is over.   

GRAMPA2-2 raises a good reminder.   Please post your flyers so people can make final plans as to when they need to leave for your tourney.  In some cases, the people coming may want to stay overnight rather than get up and drive....much of that maybe determined by your weighin times.

GRAMPs, I will send out email reminders to those who contacted me.   Thank you for raising this issue again, hopefully more people will get their flyers out there sooner because of it.

Thanks a ton, trying to put together the kids schedule, just a few more Greco/Freestyle tournaments are needed. 

John Short generally has a nice FS tournament down in Mahnomen that is USA sanctioned I believe.  Nice for Grand Forks and Fargo based wrestlers and John does a very nice job teaching as well.  It is a wrestlers tournament, laid back but tough as the kids can just ask other guys to wrestle if they want.  He'll even do some Greco for the kids that want to do so.  Highly recommended.

Is there a flier listed for the state tourney in Bismarck that lists times for different age groups?

Add the Fargo Open March 13th which is also the AAU Middle School and Disney Dual team qualifier. Fliers were at the state tournament.
