Regarding Arlovski's contract, this is what I heard. Usually the UFC resigns fighters befoer the contract is up, and that is what they want to do with Arlovski. BUT Alrovski wasn't to fight his last fight, and then re-sign his contract. With that, he would probably be fielding offers not only from the UFC, but other orgs. looking for exposlive heavyweights. The UFC wants to pay him what hes worth right now, but Arlovsi wants to become a free agent and see wat he is exaclt worth.
If you ask me, signing with the UFC is well worth it than the other orgs. Some other organizations (like M-1 wheere Fedor is or Elite EX where a lot of other fighters are might pay more initially) but with the UFC the rewards are greater. First off your going to get a lot of sponship deals with companies who want to see their company all over either SPIKE TV or PPV, and second of all if you build yourself up in the UFC, your setting yourself up for some major dollars. Right now Fedor is making more in M-1 then he was offered in UFC, but the potential for growth was way greater in the uFC
