7th Graders??

Im just curious on how many 7th graders qualified for the state tournament? Any that have a good shot at a state title or placing high??

Harkles - Hot Springs 29-7
Evangelisto - Warner/Northwestern 31-13
Hawkins - Groton 45-7
Wolf - Lemmon / McIntosh 35-17
Donnelly - Philip Area 28-7
Karber - Clar / Willow Lake 34-11
Bietz - Parkston 34-7

Just FYI - Class B 224 wrestlers breaks down as follows:
7th - 8
8th - 13
9th - 28
10th - 46
11th - 56
12th - 73
Not really sure why I just counted them all up

Donnely from Phillip is very good for a 7th grader, see if he's got what it takes second round as he will presumably be matched up with Loudenberg.

Just curious and haven't seen yet who beat Loudenberg??

Haneke of Beresford (5-4).   I thought Haneke wrestled a very smart match, but I was frankly surprised how easy it was for him to ride Loudenberg.  I said earlier in the season that nobody would touch Loudenberg.  I guess I was wrong, and that folks is why they wrestle the tournaments at season's end.  It was a big moment for Haneke and a great moment for his coach Tyler Sorenson.  They had the right combination on the right night.   I'll still take Loudenberg to win the weight class though.

Oh by the way, watch for Haneke to make a real splash in the tournament.   There could be a re-match in the finals --------- wouldn't that be another great match to watch.
