D1 National Duals

3 of the Final 4 is set:  Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.  Ohio State and Oklahoma State are set to begin for the final spot.  Should be a great match at 133 between Stieber and Oliver.  Starting in 3 minutes.

Both of the Stiebler boys are pretty tough.  Hunter is coming along nicely. OSU is young but loaded with talent.  Go Bucks!!  The Buckeyes won the Cliff Keen, so let's see how it goes.

Unfortunately Ok State won, so now the final 4 will be held in Stillwater, OK.  If Ohio State had won it would have been in Minneapolis.

Do they go by the highest ranked team as the host? If not it should be in mn or iowa due to three  big ten teams being in final four.

Supposedly there were bids submitted by U of Minn, OK St, Mizzou and UNI.  UNI was the only one willing to host regardless if they were in or not and then they withdrew their bid.  Mizzou did not make the final 4, so it is left to OK State had a better bid than Minny, I find that hard to believe, probably the NWCA kissing John Smith's butt.  They know they have J Robs support no matter what.

Hard enough to promote our sport without awarding the final four a week before it happens!?!? Last minute plane tickets, hotel rooms, etc. What other sport does that? ???

There kind of flying by the seat of their pants this first year to see how it works, hopefully they can iron out the kinks and keep it going. There is plenty of fan support for this to work.

Minnesota gets revenge on Iowa winning 16-15 in first round and then beat O.K. State 18-13 in the championship. Good job Gophers! Unfortunately Logan lost in both matches. Not very often you will see him lose twice in one day.
