The Open Mat's Willie Sayler released his rankings of all Division 1 Collegiate Wrestlers who are non-starters or redshirts. Scott Schiller, Minnesota (West Fargo, ND) was the #1 ranked non-starter/redshirt at 197 pounds in the country. #2 was Spencer Johnson, Nebraska (A Minnesota Native), and #4 was Schiller's teammate at Minnesota, Joel Bauman (Another MN Native.)
All three of them mixed it up at the Rumble on the Red against each other in high school. Bauman and Johnson had a double OT match 2 years ago in a bracket that included Tyler Lehmann, Jayd Docken, Michael Kroells, Kody Sorenson, and Coyte Kuefner,
The year prior to that, the bracket included Schiller, Docken, Bauman, Kroells, Sorenson, Kalkbrenner, Erik Berdahl, Taylor Ylienimi, Justin Lynnes, Tanner Jones, and Kenny Breaux (From California)... if I remember correct, this bracket had something like 16-18 state ranked wrestlers in it and 3-4 state champs.
